I love working on products that will be part of the next age of space discovery

Could you tell me about the background of your career?

I have a BS and an MS in Mechanical Engineering.  I worked at Curbell Electronics starting in 2006.  Came to Carleton in 2008.

What are the highlights of your career so far?

Highlights include designing new products, completing qualification testing and seeing those products in use with our customers.

Why did you choose engineering?

Honestly, I chose engineering because I wanted to design rollercoasters!

What are the biggest challenges of your job?

I would say juggling multiple priorities and dealing with resource constraints.

What are your thoughts on the importance of diversity within engineering and in the workplace?

I think diversity is great; it helps with getting different opinions and viewpoints.

Why should someone consider a career at Cobham?

The industry that we work in is very exciting.  Working in the space value stream, I love working on products that will be part of the next age of space discovery

What does International Women in Engineering Day mean to you?

To me it means recognizing all the women that are working in engineering/technical fields and making contributions in the field of science and engineering.
